The site for landscape architect Bronwen Thomas is a content managed site with a series of page sweep and fade transitions as you navigate the site. Working from visuals provided by Ethos Creative I was asked to build the CMS and use Javascipt to handle the page transitions. Looking at the spec I decided to use Wordpess as the CMS and the jQuery Javascript library to power the site. The most challanging part of the build was writing the Javascript page transitions, ensuring they loaded seamlessly and also degraded gracefully. Visitors visiting the site with Javascript disabled are presented with an identical version of the site but without any animations, meaning their user experience is not affected.
